Sole and Symbolism
This sterling silver seahorse pendant is part of my Sea Life collection of coastal jewellery. Seahorses are often seen as symbols of patience, protection, gentle strength and good luck. Moving calmly through shifting tides, they remind us to stay grounded and resilient, even in uncertain waters. They also encourage us to slow down, avoid rushing, and move with the flow of life rather than fighting against it.
Because seahorses are a protected species, I don’t cast them from originals. Instead, I hand-carved a model of each size in wax as my own interpretation of this extraordinary sea creature.
Traditional Sand-Casting
I then sand cast each seahorse individually in solid 925 sterling silver, preserving the fine detail of the original carving. This traditional sand casting process creates a soft organic texture. As a result, each sterling silver seahorse pendant has its own natural character, almost as if found along the sea shore.
I hand finish every piece in my studio to a gentle high polish, so subtle variations can add to its individuality while remaining true to the original design.
Presentation
This beautiful seahorse is also available in small and medium with polished or antiqued finishes.
It comes with a 1.7mm sterling silver chain, available in 16, 18 or 20 inches and will arrive beautifully presented in a branded gift box.
