Privacy Policy

I am very committed to protecting the trust and privacy of visitors to this website. This Privacy Policy gives information about when and why I would collect information which you have shared with me.

The information which is collected when you purchase an item from me, register for an account or otherwise contact me will be used for that specific reason only. I will never sell or pass on in any way any of the details you have submitted, including your name, address, email address or any other personal information to any person, business or company.

My business is based in the UK and is to design, make and sell jewellery. This website contains links to and from other websites and if you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they will have their own privacy policies, which you should read separately, and that this privacy policy only applies to this website.

Consent

When you supply your personal details to place an order, you are consenting to me collecting the information about you in order to process your order, manage your account and if you agree, to email you about other things which I feel may be of interest to you, but only in relation to my business as a designer/maker of jewellery. I currently do not have a mailing list, but in the event of one being set up, you will be asked if you would like to opt in to receive information regarding details about new collections or additions to my website, promotions or special offers and information about upcoming shows and news. You will always be given the option to stop receiving updates if you so wish.

I may share your information with Royal Mail, but only to allow the processing and delivery of your order or returns. I may also share your information if required to do so by law.

Retention

I will not keep your information any longer than is necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation, to resolve disputes and to enforce my agreements as necessary. I may be required to keep your data for up to 7 years, being the time period currently specified by UK law for keeping information for the purposes of producing accounts for tax purposes. Other data will not be retained for longer than is necessary and for a maximum of one year, unless I am required to do so for compliance with any legal obligation to which I am subject. If you are unhappy about me keeping any personal information, please contact me.

Subject to the above, in all circumstances you have the right to the erasure of your personal data without undue delay. Those circumstances may include: your personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed or you object to the processing under certain rules of applicable data protection law. You also have the right to have your personal details corrected if they are incorrect.

Cookies In Use on This Site

My website uses cookies, as almost all websites do, to help provide you with the best experience we can. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you browse websites

The cookies help me to:

  • Make my website work as you’d expect
  • Save you having to login every time you visit the site
  • Remember your website settings during and between visits
  • Improve the speed/security of the site
  • Continuously improve my website for you
  • Make my marketing more efficient (ultimately helping to offer the service I do at the price I do)

I do not use cookies to:

  • Collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission)
  • Collect any sensitive information (without your express permission)
  • Pass data to advertising networks
  • Pass personally identifiable data to third parties
  • Pay sales commissions

You can learn more about all the cookies we use below

Granting permission to use cookies

If the settings on your software that you are using to view this website (your browser) are adjusted to accept cookies I take this, and your continued use of my website, to mean that you are fine with this. Should you wish to remove or not use cookies from my site you can learn how to do this below, however doing so will likely mean that the site will not work as you would expect.

More about Cookies

The website cookies

The website uses cookies to make the website work including:

  • Making the shopping basket and checkout work
  • Determining if you are logged in or not
  • Remembering your search settings
  • Remembering if you have accepted our terms and conditions
  • Allowing you to add comments to the site

There is no way to prevent these cookies being set other than to not use the website.

Anonymous Visitor Statistics Cookies

I use cookies to compile visitor statistics such as how many people have visited the website, what type of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows which helps to identify when our site isn’t working as it should for particular technologies), how long they spend on the site, what page they look at etc. This helps to continuously improve the website. These so called “analytics” programs also tell me, on an anonymous basis, how people reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have been here before helping me to invest more into developing my services for you instead of marketing spend.

Turning Cookies Off

You can usually switch cookies off by adjusting your browser settings to stop it from accepting cookies (Learn how here). Doing so however will likely limit the functionality of this and a large proportion of the world’s websites as cookies are a standard part of most modern websites

It may be that your concerns around cookies relate to so called “spyware”. Rather than switching off cookies in your browser you may find that anti-spyware software achieves the same objective by automatically deleting cookies considered to be invasive. Learn more about managing cookies with antispyware software.
