Dispatch and Delivery

I aim to dispatch all items which are in stock within three working days of payment.  As all of my jewellery is handmade, many items will be made to order, and for these items the estimated despatch time will be indicated before you complete your purchase.  I always try to ensure all orders are delivered promptly but this does depend on the item of jewellery, availability of materials and the time of year.  Additional time needs to be allowed for if the item needs to be sent to the London Assay Office for hallmarking.  Delivery can be anything from a couple of working days to 15 working days so it always helps to allow time for your piece to be made.  If you have any special requirements, or need an update on delivery, please do get in touch and I will always do my very best for you.  Communication is the key!

Postage and Packaging

UK postal charges

Postage for orders up to £70 is £3.95 and will be sent by Royal Mail first class signed for.  This requires a signature on delivery. 

Postage for UK orders over £70 is £6.95 and will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is tracked and guarantees next day delivery by 1pm.  This also requires a signature on delivery.  

Free Special delivery as above for orders over £200. 

International postal charges

Packaging and Gifts

Your jewellery will arrive packed in acid free tissue in a lovely presentation box. Some smaller items of jewellery will be sent in a velvet drawstring pouch. If you are buying an item of jewellery as a gift, please add a note in special instructions at checkout and a gift note will be sent rather than an invoice. I will email the original invoice to you.

Returns, Cancellations and Exchanges

Returns and Exchanges

If for any reason you are not delighted with your purchase and want to return it or exchange it, then please contact me within 7 days to arrange for its return or exchange.  The item itself must be returned to me within 14 days of receipt of the item.  Please note the following in respect of all returns or exchanges:

• Any item returned must be unworn, in its original condition as received, and in the original undamaged packaging.
• Returns postage costs will not be refunded unless the item is faulty or the wrong item was sent.
• Only full price items can be returned or exchanged unless the item is faulty.
• You are responsible for the item’s safe return so please ensure that you package it up carefully as I cannot be responsible for any damage to items in transit. You are also advised to obtain proof of posting and advice from your post office about insurance as I cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
• Once your returned item has been received and checked, a refund (if appropriate) will be processed within 7 days and automatically applied to your original method of payment.
• I cannot refund commissioned or personalised items (see below), nor can I give a full refund for items which are not returned within 14 days of receipt by you.
• Any item returned after 14 days, or which is not in its original condition (including the presentation box), or is damaged or has any missing parts for reasons not due to my error may only have a partial refund granted.

Exceptions

Please note the following:

• Specially commissioned or personalised items cannot be refunded or exchanged unless faulty. Any deposit paid on commissioned or personalised items is non-refundable if the order is cancelled. However, although not legally obliged to do so, if due to unforeseen circumstances through no fault of your own, you are forced to cancel a commission or an order for a personalised piece of jewellery, I will endeavour to return a deposit or part of a deposit, less my expenses for time and materials as is reasonable. This is however totally at my own discretion and will be looked at on a case by case basis in consultation with you.
• For health and hygiene reasons, special terms apply to the sale of earrings. Stud earrings will be supplied in a sealed packet and cannot be exchanged or returned if the seal has been broken or tampered with.  Earrings which are made with a shepherd hook or other type of hook (as opposed to a stud and butterfly fitting) may be returned but the refund will be subject to a reasonable charge for the replacement of the hooks as these cannot be reused.

Cancellations

You have the right to cancel your online orders within 7 days of the order for Ready to Wear jewellery only (jewellery which is already made and ready to despatch at the time of checkout). This does not include made to order commissions, and some items which are sealed for health and hygiene reasons (see above).  As long as the item has not been dispatched, you will be refunded the full cost of the item and any postage paid within 7 days of cancelling.  The refund will be applied to your original method of payment. If the item has already been dispatched, you will not be able to cancel and you will need to follow the terms and conditions relating to returns and refunds.

Nicole Jansen reserves the right to refuse to post and the right to remove any information, in whole or in part, for any reason or for no reason.
