Description
A lovely addition to my organic range is this unusual sterling silver solid Chiselled Heart Pendant with Sapphire. They are all individually handmade, organic in shape and each one is set with a gemstone, either faceted and round or raw, unpolished and with its own shape. I mostly set sapphires into these hearts but please do read the description of each one which will tell you the size and weight of the heart itself and exactly the type of gemstone I have set into it.
Each has its own character, inspired by imperfection and unpredictability, and the knocks and bumps to our hearts, as we go through life, all of which make us stronger. Like many of my items, I show them all individually. A great part of their charm is the natural unrefined surface of the silver. This comes from the sand casting process I use to make them, whereby the natural texture of the sand shows through onto the surface of the silver. Some have a soft matt pitted finish, and others may have a polished pitted finish. The heart itself usually tells me how it wants to be finished.
